FOLLY II
1931 STEPHENS "64" MOTOR YACHTThe Folly II is an all teak express motor yacht redolent of another age, yet complete with all the comfort and luxury one would expect today. Featuring a length of 64 feet, beam of 15 feet and draft of four feet, she was built by the Stephens Brothers shipyard of Stockton, California in the early 1930s for Robert Toohey of San Francisco. A contemporary issue of Pacific Motor Boat described her thusly, "The combination of trim clean lines, harmonious proportions and luxurious polished teak finish gives this craft a distinctive beauty that arrest the attention of all who behold it." The same words could be said today.

The exterior and interior wood finishes are the finest examples of period workmanship and the enclosed areas are spacious. Aft are two single or one double stateroom with a lobby in between, which has a companionway to the starboard side deck. There is also an owner's double stateroom large enough for two double beds. It has access to the bridge cabin. The stateroom area has two heads, one with tub and shower. The lounge/dining room provides seating that can be converted to extra sleeping quarters. The galley is capacious and there are bunks for two in the forecastle.

The Folly 2 is berthed in the most beautiful marina in San Francisco, but has a second dock available for her in the Delta. She would be ideal to play in a period film, or in a high fashion photo shoot.
